MEET THE TEAM

The day-to-day operations of the Dhillon Business Students’ Association is fulfilled through a dedicated suite of executive and director positions. The DBSA currently consists of 27-members supporting the Academic, Events, External, Finance, Internal, and Marketing portfolios. While all portfolios maintain their respective roles and responsibilities, each portfolio works in tandem to ensure a consistent and reliable operation of the association.

Ashley Drought

Ashley Drought is a 5th year student here as the University of Lethbridge, perusing a degree in Accounting. She is originally from B.C, moving to sunny Lethbridge for school. She has enjoyed her time at the university where she has been about to be part of organizations such as the DBSA. She enjoys getting outside whether that be out for a run, bike ride, or even just reading in the sun. When class are in person you can probably find her in a study room throughout the university.

Gage is a third year General Management major with a minor in Economics. Gage was elected the Executive Vice President of the DBSA alongside Ashley, the President, in February 2021. Gage is working on developing several new initiatives at the DBSA, like the Carbon Offsetting Program, and the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Program.

I grew up in Fort McMurray Alberta but decided I wanted to experience southern Alberta which led me to going to school in Lethbridge. I completed a diploma in General Management at Lethbridge College but I am now Pursuing a degree in General Management here at the University of Lethbridge where I am in my fourth and final year.

With this being her second year with the DBSA, she is excited to lead the Corporate Relations team and expand her management skills along the way! Riley is a fourth year student (graduating in April 2022) majoring in Finance with a minor in both supply chain management as well as Agricultural Enterprise Management. He is currently on a 15 month work term, working in Calgary. This is his third year with DBSA, last year he was director of Calgary Corporate Relations.

My position with the DBSA will reflect those interests upon my leadership style within the Finance Portfolio. Personally, I’m a huge golfer and I try to get out as much as possible! I also really enjoy driving/working on my car.

There wasn’t much else Christy could think of to add about herself or a way to end this bio smoothly.

I have a dream of opening my very own cafe in the future as a life goal. Lastly, my hobbies are playing video games, reading webtoons and manga, and browsing through reddit.
